7 Day Diet

Since this is such a healthy diet, you can do without the nutritional supplements during the 7 day period. An average person will be better nourished on this diet than he/she is on a regular basis. Besides, our bodies have a system of building up reserves of essential nutrients we need. However, after finishing the diet and undergoing a complete detox, you might want to incorporate natural remedies for ailments as well as for supplements.

Yes you can – but stay under your doctor’s supervision. This diet might even help you with normalizing sugar levels because there are no simple carbohydrates in this diet. Just remember to have regular snacks using foods that are allowed each day to keep your sugar in check. The “wonder soup” is a great way to get the right amount of calories in your system without upsetting the balance of the diet. Also, most days you are allowed either fruit or vegetables. Choose from a wide variety of healthy fruits, carrot sticks, bell-peppers, celery sticks.

This diet is a balanced diet completed over a seven day period with carbohydrates, minimal fats, fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. If you have problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure you might want to check with your doctor to get cleared. Since this diet is all natural it is much more beneficial than the current food habits of most people. Also, in the absence of artificial foods, saturated fats, alcohol, coffee, tea and soda, your body goes through a complete detox and cleanse. Most people who have done this diet consider it risk-free and some have even done it on a regular basis to keep pounds in check. However, we recommend that you check with your physician first before starting this or any other diet.

This is a 7-day diet that works on the premise of giving your body the essential nutrients it needs and reduces the nutrients it does not for a period of 7 days thereby causing the body to shed pounds from anywhere 2-11 pounds. Over the 7-day period you eat fruits, vegetables, protein, milk, bananas etc. in a particular order to jumpstart the body to lose the weight. The diet also includes consumption of a vegetable soup called "wonder soup" that is filled with fiber, vitamins and nutrients.

It's best to do this diet once every two months. The idea is to change your eating habits so you don't have to do these kinds of diets regularly.

In addition to drinking at least 64 oz of water daily you may, in moderation, have decaffeinated coffee or tea without milk if you really must have it. We recommend green tea. During this diet, you must stay away from alcohol and caffeinated beverages to enable the detox process properly.

Light to moderate exercise is okay but nothing intense. We recommend walking as the exercise of choice during the 7-day period. Make sure to drink lots of water.

Calories consumed daily can vary from person to person.

No, it's best to avoid all pills during the course of the week-long diet.

Yes, this 7-day diet is for vegetarians as well. You simply need to consume vegetarian protein food on the days you are allowed to eat protein.
Food Choices

Avocados are a great source of vitamins and minerals however, it's best to avoid avocados during the 7-day diet as they are high in calories and fat. If you really must have it then limit yourself to about a quarter (80 calories) or half (160 calories) of a small California avocado on your salad on the days you are allowed to eat salads.

You may also eat sun-dried tomatoes and/or peppadews but we would recommend sun dried tomatoes. However, watch out for the serving size as 1 cup of sun dried tomatoes contains about 140 calories, though it's a good source of fiber. Always read the Nutrition Facts label!

Yes, you may consume almond milk in moderation but stay away from coconut milk as it is very high in calories.

You may consume plain yogurt (light) and boiled egg whites on days 5 and 6, in moderation, but oatmeal and grits are not recommended during this 7-day weight loss diet.

Bananas are highly recommended but if you must use a substitute then you could consume apricots, cherries, cantaloupes, papayas, honeydew or peaches. These are all good sources of potassium.

Sorry, no nuts are allowed during the 7-day diet. It is recommended to follow the diet as shown on the site for it to be effective.

You can leave the onions out however, you could use red peppers in place of tomatoes.

Coffee, soda and alcohol are not allowed during this diet. Make sure to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water ever day.

Yes, you can eat sweet potato but just keep in mind, it has slightly more calories, sugar and sodium than a regular potato. At the same time, it is much richer in Vitamin A and calcium.
We recommend that you consume at least 64 oz. of water every day and avoid putting anything in it. Per our research, Crystal light contains some ingredients such as aspartame and acesulfame potassium which are not good for you. We strongly recommend you stick to plain water, at least during this 7-day diet.

To add flavor to your baked potato on day 2 of this 7-day diet, you may sparingly use greek yogurt, bacon substitutes or butter flavoring such as dried butter sprinkles...

Yes, you can eat tofu but only on the days you are allowed to eat veggies and proteins. That would be days 2,3,5,6 and 7.
Yes, eggs can be a choice of protein however, we recommend egg white. Egg white in 1 large egg contains about 17-20 calories, 3.6 g of protein and 0 g of cholesterol.

Yes. This is a really healthy vegetable soup. Also, the calories burned by the body to digest and consume the soup are greater than the calories they contain. It is essential to eat this soup everyday to make this diet successful. You may eat as much as you like. Most people consume 2-3 cups of it.

Technically, this is a 7 day diet full of fruits and vegetables with our wonder soup being optional, though many think this is a cabbage soup diet. This cabbage rich 7 day diet weight loss wonder soup can be consumed every day and one can lose up to 10 pounds at the end of the 7 day diet...

It all depends on your body's tolerance to cabbage. However, it could cause bloating and gas if consumed in excess. We recommend that you consume cabbage soup in moderation.
