What does Thyroid Assist contain?
Thyroid Assist contains herbs which are well known for their effect on thyroid health:
Fucus vesiculosis, also called Bladderwrack or kelp, is a sea vegetable which is a prime source of iodine - crucial in preventing thyroid problems.
Avena sativa is derived from the wild oat plant and is a well known restorative and nerve tonic, used to treat depression, low libido and lack of energy, as well as hypothyroidism. More recently it has also been shown to be effective in reducing high cholesterol levels.
Coleus forskohlii is a well respected and often difficult to obtain Ayurvedic (Indian) remedy, traditionally used to treat high blood pressure. It also acts to stimulate the thyroid to release thyroid hormones and is therefore beneficial in the treatment of hypothyroidism.
Does it contain any artificial or animal based hormones?
Thyroid Assist contains no artificial or animal derived hormones, as do the prescription drugs.

No, Thyroid Assist treats Hypothyroidism or underactive thyroid. Thyroid Assist has been specially formulated to treat hypothyroid conditions. Regular use of Thyroid Assist helps restore healthy thyroid functioning, treats iodine deficiency causing hypothyroidism, ensures adequate production of thyroid hormones, and assists with depression, fatigue, constipation, weight gain and other symptoms associated with hypothyroidism.
What are the symptoms of hypothyroidism?
Chronic fatigue and weakness; weight gain or difficulty losing weight; hair loss or coarse, dry hair; dry and rough skin; Intolerance to cold; abnormal menstrual cycles; decreased sex drive; memory loss; depression and irritability; constipation; muscle cramps. Not all of these symptoms are always present.
Can I take Thyroid Assist even if I have not been officially diagnosed as having hypothyroidism?
Yes, Thyroid Assist may be taken even without an official diagnosis. Unlike the synthetic medications for hypothyroidism, Thyroid Assist is 100% herbal and will not harm you if you do not have a thyroid problem and your symptoms are due to other causes.
Can it help if my thyroid has been surgically removed?
The main function of Thyroid Assist is to improve thyroid functioning. If your thyroid has been removed, this will not be a useful remedy for you but other remedies can assist with any troublesome symptoms.
Can it help if I have had thyroid cancer?

What is the proper dosage?
The therapeutic dose is 15 drops diluted in about ¼ cup water, juice or other liquid of choice, three times a day.

How do you properly store this product?
Best storage is in a cool (not cold) dark place out of direct sunlight such as a cupboard or closet. The product does not need to be refrigerated.
What is the shelf life?
The shelf life for tinctures is around 4 to 6 years. There is a small white sticker under the bottle which indicates expiration date.
How long until results are seen?
With regular use, improvement should be noted within 3 – 6 weeks, although some people may take more or less time to respond. Degree of improvement (e.g. complete cure vs improvement/reduction in symptoms) depends on many different factors, including severity and chronicity of symptoms, as well as lifestyle factors like diet and exercise levels.
How long does a bottle last?
One bottle of Thyroid Assist lasts approximately one month.
Can I take it with other prescription thyroid replacement hormones such as Synthroid or Levothyroxine?
Thyroid Assist may be taken on its own or along with prescription medications for hypothyroidism. However, if you decide to take Thyroid Assist along with your Synthroid, we recommend regular checks on thyroid functioning as your prescription meds may need to be reduced due to the beneficial effects of Thyroid Assist. May be used along with artificial thyroid hormones only if you have an underactive thyroid. In a lot of cases, use for thyroid hormone becomes unnecessary due to the excellent results from Thyroid Assist.
Does it have any contraindications?
Not recommended for people with low blood pressure or peptic ulcers.
Can children take Thyroid Assist?
Thyroid Assist can be used for anyone over the age of 6 years old. Dosage for a child would be one drop per age year of child. If your child is already taking medication for Hypothyroidism, you can use the Thyroid Assist as well, but please do so under the medical supervision of your doctor. The reason being that Thyroid Assist can improve the levels quite efficiently.
Why is not recommended for people with low blood pressure or peptic ulcers?
You can take Thyroid Assist safely so long as you monitor your blood pressure regularly. However, if you have problems associated with low blood pressure (e.g. persistent dizziness) then it would probably be better to avoid Thyroid Assist. Thyroid Assist is best not taken by people with low blood pressure. The reason for this is that Thyroid Assist contains Coleus forskohlii, which is also used to treat high blood pressure. For this reason, it is not recommended for people who are diagnosed with low blood pressure.
Can I take it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
